Along the way we visit some of Ireland’s most important early monastic settlements and places of interest.

St. Patrick’s Church, Christ Church, the Anglican cathedral where Jonathan Swift was once the rector, the Whitefriar St. Carmelite Church containing the relics of St. Valentine, Dublin Castle, Norman in origin and formerly seat of the British rule in Ireland, St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin’s center city park, and Trinity College and its library to see the famous Book of Kells.
HILL OF TARA
The seat of the ancient kings of Ireland where St. Patrick preached, and Drogheda where St. Oliver Plunkett was martyred and south to the famous monastic site of St. Kevin, Glendalough.

View the Book of Kells, one of the great contributions of Celtic Christianity, and explore literary Ireland in the form of optional James Joyce walking tour of Dublin in the centenary year of Bloomsday, the day his famous novel Ulysses was set in Dublin

Celtic Christianity will again be our focus whe we visit Glendalough and Clonmacnoise, probably the two finest examples of monastic settlements in Ireland/
HILLS OF SLANE
Where St. Patrick preached on the Holy Trinity and converted the pagan Celts to Christianity.
OUR LADY OF KNOCK
In the west of Ireland, we will visit the shrine of Our Lady of Knock, site of the apparitions of Our Lady, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist.
COBH
At the port of Cobh, in southern Ireland, we will visit the site where millions of immigrants left Ireland forever to venture into a new world, where the Titanic made its last port of call and where the victims of the Lusitania are memorialized.
BUNRATTY CASTLE
We'll experience what life was like in a 15th century castle when we visit and dine at Bunratty Castle on out final night in Ireland.
